EVP: Electronic Voice Phenomena is captured with the use of sound recorders and are noises that resemble speech, but are not the result of intentional voice recordings or renderings. They are not usually heard live at the time of the investigation only usually picked up when reviewing the evidence by our analyst. Some are crystal clear, in context with the given conversation and can not be mistaken for any other word, whilst others are soo weak that they could easily be mistaken for various words depending on how the listener interprets them.
RVP: Radio Voice Phenomena is captured with the use of a FM/AM radio designed to keep constantly scanning the airwaves never locking on to any one frequency. Whilst the device scans it creates a static type white noise intermixed with random actual radio broadcasts (blips) which creates a chatter of sorts that is then supposably used by the spirits to manipulate into words for communication. The words are formed by using this chatter not speaking over it, so all of the noise is needed to communicate successfuly in real time, which means your hear the voices as they speak not later in a recording. This technology is fairly new to the world of paranormal reasearch.
This EVP was captured during our investigation at Kent's Cavern in The Great Chamber. Our digital recorder was some 30 feet away, postioned on one of the rock walls away from everybody in a quiet location. Using our Dowsing Rods we apparently made contact with a male spirit who worked in the caves in 1907 . One of our investigators asked "are you happy to be here? and you can hear the responce very clearly and much closer to the microphone saying "yes". This could not be heard during our investigation only after analysing our audio evidence. The second is an amplified version.
These RVP's were captured in the Cellar during our investigation at Penquite House. There were 6 people present so we all introduced ourselves by first name only and asked out if there were any spirits present and who would you like to speak to and within a couple of seconds the name Nicola was heard very clearly by all, there was a Nicola present so the chances of that name coming from the Franks Box is extremely high. We then asked for the spirit's name to which it replied Racheal, again very clear and heard by all. Finally Nicola then asked if it was trying to get our attention to which we got a "maybe". This communication went on for a few minutes all of which has been recorded via a digital voice recorder as evidence.
